Manta Ray
The Manta Ray is gigantic, yet incredibly graceful when it moves. They can reach widths of over 6 m. Their bodies are flat and they have a huge mouth. They have five gill slits which filter the plankton out of the water; this is their main source of nourishment. They are excellent swimmers and usually only give birth to one pup at a time. The pup first hatches from an egg inside the mother’s body.
